How front cut came, after bumper was removed... (Didn't get it with the bonnet - they would have charged me an extra $750 for it.. screw that!). |
 How
it came. |

Front cut semi stripped. |
 Having
a look inside. |
 Interior
now fully gutted. That's the ECU sitting there in the middle. |

Almost finished stripping.. |

Few bits leftover. |

Dom, touching my turbo.... |

Interesting.. Note the beefy steel aftermarket shield underneath the
radiator support. Was suspected this car was raced. |

Sitting on the hoist so we could remove the drive shafts, exhaust and
gearbox levels. |

Going up..... |

Going up.. Easier than going down in this instance. |

Going up, going down... |

Good shite. |

Pretty empty 'eh! |

Having a bit of a relax in the sun. |

Pulling that 12 tonne gearbox off my GTiR engine. |

Woo turbo. Free play was pretty good, rotated nicely. |

New flywheel - mmmm perdy. |

My car. Stock as a rock. |

Car almost ready - gotta remove the bonnet first I spose. |

Chains attached, just gotta hold it, unbolt mounts, and drop it. |

Ready to drop. |

Almost gone. |

Persuading it to leave... Stubborn beast. |

Bye bye.. |

Rather empty... Wonder how much it weighs without all that stuff? |

Pulling gearbox off the old engine.. Those air tools rock!! |

Engine all assembled ready to be put in.. |

Engine in, checking wiring etc. Diagrams everywhere! |

Exhaust Manifold Shield. The shiny bits are from me attacking it with a
wire attachment for the grinder, but it didn't work too well as the rust was
very deep. |

Main shield - AFTER HPC coating.. Looks good 'eh! |
All done!
