SR20DET Types- Compiled by Wattage
A lot of people are thinking about going turbo with their SR20 powered pulsars. This list is aimed more at the
new people to the group to avoid asking the same questions over and over again! So here they
are, please read this before asking similar questions on the forums.
These are the SR20DETs that fit into and N14/N15 pulsars with the SR20DE motor and gearbox. The SR20DE gearbox bolts on minus 2 bolts that don't line up but this is no drama. They are listed by age, oldest to newest.
- U12 Bluebird - Top mount cooler, U12 ECU plugs straight into DE harness. Easiest conversion. Has red rocker cover and T25 turbo.
- U13 Bluebird - Front mount cooler, U13 ECU plugs straight into DE harness. Will have to do some chopping to fit cooler in. Has red rocker cover and T25 turbo.
- RNN14 GTiR - Top mount cooler, RNN14 ECU plugs straight into DE harness. Will need GTiR bonnet to fit cooler in. Has red rocker cover and T28 turbo, quad throttle body.
- PNW10 Avenir - Front mount cooler, PNW10 ECU plugs straight into DE harness. Same as U13 DET but newer. Has silver rocker cover.
- PNW11 Avenir - Front mount cooler, PNW11 ECU DOES NOT!!! plug straight into DE harness, and an aftermarket ECU needs to be used. Has silver rocker cover and ball-bearing T28 turbo, newest of the
DETs.
