Clear Indicator Modification
by Daniel Maezler
There are some pics to lead you through the conversion step-by-step, click them to enlarge.
You've already changed to the popular "Clear Side Repeater Set" from Demon
Tweeks but the front indicators have still the orange look? Why??
It's very easy to complete the conversion and less than 30 minutes is
needed.
I used an oven to heat each housing up, It's not as noisy as a hair dryer (and quicker) and you can watch TV in the meantime (be warned: your next Pizza could have a 'special' taste).
The light bulbs I used were Philips Silver Vision. Similar lights are available from Osram ("Diadem" ). Or you can paint the clear bulb with Tamiya enamel
model paint (X-26 clear orange)

Step 1: The necessary parts: screwdriver, (knife), new light bulbs

Step 2: Old light bulb (left), new Philips SilverVision (right)

Step 3: Put the housing into an oven (80°C, approx. 10-15 minutes) to soften the glue; then the front can be removed (be careful!)

Step 4: Remove the orange cap; simply pull

Step 5: One indicator is ready (the right one in the picture) orange cap, old light bulb, Philips SilverVision

Step 6: Heat front glass and housing up again; put them together now
